(1) The strong lowest transverse girder was noted to be now fully broken in two places, namely between the starboard outer and inner hinges and between the inner port and starboard hinges, which indicates that the bow ramp must have been exposed to extreme excessive forces, which were – in all probability - exerted during opening and subsequent closing of the ramp. See the images below.

The image shows the big gap between the lower transverse girder and the coaming created by the ramp being heavily bent to starboard.
